A Teen Dream Come True!

Oh my gosh! I am in such a state of excitement and am just drooling over these pictures I am going to show you! I mentioned in an earlier blog that I got tickets to go to the New Kids on the Block concert and I went last night! So many things I didn't expect happened. First of all, our seats were in the 51st row on the floor so we had good seats. Secondly, no major tall people were in front of me so I could see the whole time. Third, I remembered to bring my camera (which has awesome zoom) therefore I could take totally awesome pictures! And here is the exciting part: THEY CHOSE MY ROW AND THE ROWS IN BACK OF US TO GATHER AROUND THE ROTATING STAGE TO SEE NKOTB UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL! I am putting in the major close-up shots of the hottie boys that I was able to get. Oh, and for all of you American Idol fans out there, I was not far from DAVID ARCHULETA!!! I am including one picture of him (the only one I took) in this blog. So drool, it is totally cool! I will never forget this concert-especially since I am seeing my dream fulfilled. If you want to see all of my pictures, come see me or have me come visit you. I will bring my camera. These are just a sample of what I took!

Natasha Bedingfield was the opener!

After 15 years, the New Kids are back!

Jordan Knight

Jonathan Knight

Joey McIntyre

Donnie Wahlberg (yes, Mark Wahlberg's brother)

Danny Wood

"I'll Be Loving You Forever"

David Archuleta in the flesh!

Me, Sommer, Angela, Kathy

Before I end what might seem to you the most pathetic blog, I have to say that Sommer (who was never really a fan as a teenager) got her kicks out of seeing the rest of us act crazy. We had the best time ever!

Tagged-Seven Random Things...

I'm not sure how to do the link thing, but Kristin tagged me so I'll do my best.
Seven Random Things About Me:
1. I am a HUGE fan of Broadway musicals and would like to do some community theater someday.
2. I am in love with Ioan Gruffudd-you know, "Mr. Fantastic" from "The Fantastic Four"! Not many people know he's a Brit (and married), but I can still dream.
3. I often pretend to sing to an imaginary audience when I'm alone at home. I just put in my CDs including my karaoke ones, and belt it out.
4. My favorite ice cream flavors are strawberry and Swiss Milk Chocolate (which you can find at one of my favorite places: Leatherby's)!
5. I can say the alphabet backwards fast. Try to test me on it sometime.
6. I love FRANCE. Many people think they are rude people (and some are), but I've had nothing but good experiences with the people I met in France.
7. My favorite food is potatoes without the skins. I realize that the skins are the most nutritious part, but I think they taste yucky.
And there you have it. Now for the 7 people I tag:
1. Ashley Egbert (it will help me know more about you)!
2. Kelli Eisenhart
3. Ane Genessy
4. Emily Sorenson
5. Katie Pugh
6. Melanie Perschon (you haven't updated in awhile)
7. Jordan Furness
Happy blogging!

NKOTB!!!

I know I have totally been slacking on my blog, but I had to tell you how excited I am for November 15th! My friends and I are going to the NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK CONCERT!!!!!! I totally know I am older now and should be over this type of thing, but I didn't go to any of their concerts when I was a teen so now I get to fulfill my little fantasy of seeing them perform. I guess this means I should go out and buy their album...

A Very Good Friend

Okay, so after Church today, I was sitting under a blanket watching Season 1 episodes of NCIS (I know, I was so NOT keeping the Sabbath Day holy) when my sister came in from the ward she goes to carrying a Book of Mormon. She asked me why I didn't open the door for the missionaries and I just gave her a blank look and told her that no one had knocked on my door since I'd been home. She proceeded to open the front cover of the Book of Mormon and told me there was no mistake, but that the Book of Mormon was for me. I was very confused and as she handed it to me, I read what was written inside:

"Dear Sis. Green,
I want to take a moment and Thank You for being such an amazing daughter of God, I have learned so much from you. Thank You for having and sharing your sweet testimony, it has blessed so many peoples lives. Thank You for being who you are, I truly have learned so many great things from you, I really appreciate your service and your happy attitude! Thank you for everything!

Love, A Very Good Friend"

Enclosed in the Book of Mormon was a bookmark with a quote from President Hinckley which says: "It isn't as bad as you sometimes think it is. It all works out. Don't worry. I say that to myself every morning. It will all work out. Put your trust in God, and move forward with faith and confidence in the future. The Lord will not forsake us. He will not forsake us. If we will put our trust in Him, if we will pray to Him, if we will live worthy of His blessings, He will hear our prayers."

I don't know who gave this to me (although I have suspicions it is one of my Young Women), but I want to express my greatest appreciation for my Very Good Friend who somehow through the Spirit knew I needed this right now. If any of you who are reading this know who did this for me, please thank them in my behalf. I also want you all to know this quote by President Hinckley applies to each and every one of you. If there is a way I can help relieve your burdens like this sweet angel has helped relieve mine, please let me know. You are all my VERY GOOD FRIENDS!

Catching Up

So I have been slacking in a major way with my blogging (like usual) and I told myself that after I came back from the General Relief Society meeting, I would catch everyone up. I have had major things going on, but probably the most major was when my friend Becca got married on September 12th! I was able to attend the wedding and help at the reception. Here are some pics!

Jeff and Becca being all lovey-dovey

Becca's plaid toes-how long did she have to sit for that?

Traditional cutting of the cake

So I caught the bouquet-it's not like this is the first time it's happened!

Can I just say that catching the bouquet was slightly surprising in the fact that the flowers were real. I didn't grab the part you hold on to, I grabbed the part that sticks out from the bottom. Needless to say, part of the bouquet came apart and I gave the part I grabbed away to another vieing for the part! It was a good wedding all in all!

Everyone Else Is Doing It...

So I figured since everyone was showing who they are in another life, I'd add mine too. These are my favorite so far... and I'm NOT a Cinderella!

Which Disney Princess Are You?

You are Jasmine. You are loyal and would visit the ends of the earth for what you believe. You would never let obstacles stand in the way of true love.
